NCCPs in California are addressing conservation on over 9.5 million acres. To show the magnitude of conservation planning underway in California, the map below shows two different types of large regional conservation plans: joint NCCP/HCPs and HCPs that are not NCCPs. These conservation plans are in various stages of planning or implementation. Click on the links to the right for a summary of each NCCP. Note: NCCP spatial data can be downloaded through BIOS, CDFW's application for viewing and acquiring spatial data, which can be found at Biogeographic Information and Observation System.
