Office of Spill Prevention and Response

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Office of Spill Prevention and Response is the state’s lead for response to oil spills into its inland and marine waters. OSPR aims for best achievable protection of California’s natural resources.

Industry and government oil spill professionals will not want to miss this opportunity to observe emerging tools and technologies that are available for spill response.   • OSPR awarded Siskiyou County and Butte County separate oil spill response equipment and training grants to strengthen preparedness at the Upper Sacramento and Feather rivers. The equipment ensures local communities can respond quickly in the event of an oil spill.
