Illustrations of Rare, Threatened, and Endangered California Plant Species by Mary Ann Showers

line drawing of three flowers

Retired CDFW Botanist Mary Ann Showers created a series of 210 detailed line drawings of rare, threatened, and endangered plants in California. They can be found in the document library(opens in new tab), or individually from the links below. These line drawings were created in the 1990s, and the taxonomy or state-listing status of some species may have changed since that time. Species with asterisks (*) by their names are currently listed under a different name in the Jepson Manual, their taxonomy is under review, or their state-listing status has changed. For more information, please search the species name at the Jepson Online Interchange using the Index to California Plant Names(opens in new tab).
