Bill Ernst landed this huge 93-pound, 4-ounce white seabass while free diving in Malibu and established a new California record in 2007.

Kim Larson displays a new State record with this 21-pound, 5-ounce Pacific bonito.

Joseph Tobin proudly sports his 30-pound, 11-ounce, record-size albacore that he speared during a free dive in the outer Monterey Bay.

Matt Freis caught this massive 30-pound, 8-ounce California sheephead from his kayak in Newport Beach in 2009, thus breaking a 31-year old record.

Twelve-year-old Conor Gorey established a first-time State saltwater angling record with this 14-pound, 8-ounce bronzespotted rockfish.
