CDFW's License and Revenue Branch (LRB) issues sport fishing and hunting license items, as well as many other wildlife related licenses and permits. LRB also compiles license sales statistics and provides license sales agent support.

CDFW License Sales Locations and Hours
Only checks, money orders, and debit/credit cards displaying Visa or Mastercard logos are accepted at CDFW License Sales Offices. Cash transactions are still accepted for all items sold at authorized local sales agents. For a list of authorized local sales agent locations, please visit the Find License Agent page.
PLEASE NOTE: Hours of operation may vary and offices may be closed due to staff shortages. We recommend contacting the CDFW office prior to visiting. Offices will be closed on all state observed holidays.
CDFW License Sales Offices.
You can renew your Commercial Fishing Licenses online or at select license agents. Licenses purchased online, or at a license agent, will include a 5% non-refundable license agent handling fee.
Sport fishing and hunting licenses are available everywhere licenses are sold.
